According to figures released by the UAE Ministry of Economy and Tourism, the country welcomed more than 32.34 million hotel guests in 2025, marking a significant 5.2% increase compared to the previous year. The latest tourism performances reflect the UAE’s growing appeal among leisure travelers, business tourists, luxury vacationers, and international event visitors.
The data was reviewed during the second 2026 meeting of the Emirates Tourism Council held in Ras Al Khaimah under the chairmanship of Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri, UAE Minister of Economy and Tourism.
UAE Hospitality Sector records Strong Revenue Growth
The UAE hotel industry experienced exceptional growth across all major performance indicators in 2025. Total hotel revenues increased by 9.7% year-on-year, reaching nearly Dh49.2 billion, highlighting the resilience and expansion of the country’s hospitality market.
At the same time, total guest nights climbed to 110.62 million, representing a 5.9% rise compared to the previous year. This increase demonstrates sustained tourism demand throughout the year, fueled by international conferences, luxury tourism, shopping festivals, family travel, and business events hosted across Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Ras Al Khaimah, and other Emirates.
The UAE’s hotel occupancy rate also remains among the highest globally at 79.3%, underlining the strong performance of the nation’s tourism infrastructure and accommodation sector. By the end of 2025, the country’s hotel room inventory had expanded to approximately 217,000 rooms, reflecting continued investment in tourism development and hospitality projects.

Officials emphasize that the UAE’s tourism success is the result of long-term strategic planning, world-class infrastructure, and proactive economic policies aimed at diversifying the national economy beyond oil revenues.
